Blog entry número uno!

Greetings from TBL land!

I can speak for Dave, Ryan and Alex when I say: We are so pumped!! Today marks a very momentous occasion. We are announcing the release date for our record that we are not so patiently sitting on, this fancy new website which my brother Dave and his partner Roberta have been working super hard on which, if I do say so myself, is pretty cool, and finally our Winnipeg CD release party!

I've been splitting my time this summer on the road with my band mates in Doc Walker and filling in with my buddies Emerson Drive...(yep, name drop fine... I owe you all $1.50) which has been some seriously good fun! In June Dave and Roberta found time to put 2,000 kms on their bikes by riding from Vancouver, BC to San Francisco, CA. No. Big. Deal.

We also did our first run with TBL making stops in Onanole, MB, Forget SK, and Saskatoon, SK. We want to give a big huge thank you to our friends Murray Evans and Lei-Anne Sharratt at Poor Michael's (Onanole), Shannon and Don Shakotko at the Happy Nun (Forget), and Dan Canfield at Village Guitar and Amp Co. (Saskatoon) for such a warm welcome in their rooms and their lives, and for their support. I can't think of a more wonderful way to start our traveling career. I'll be flying high off of those shows for years to come.

We're so excited to announce that our record "Let It Lie" will be available all over the place as of September 3rd: iTunes, CD baby, Amazon, Village Guitars, Dave's house, my house, our Mom's house... And of course side stage! The Winnipeg release party, we are so thrilled to say, will be at the West End Cultural Centre with guests Red Moon Road and Daniel Champagne on Thursday, September 5th, 2013. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 19th, 2013!!

Dave, Ryan, Alex and I are so very excited about the record that we made and we can't wait to let it out of the box and get it into your hands. It has been such an exciting, fulfilling and at times challenging journey but the result is a works of songs that we are so proud of. I can only hope that you, dear reader, like it, too!

What else is there to say... I got a new guitar which was built by my good friend Jordan McConnell (www.mcconnellguitars.com) here's a picture of it... It's the best guitar in the world... Neither Dave, Ryan or Alex  have any new toys. Ha! Suckers.

That's all for now, we hope to see ya at the release party and out there on the road!

Stay tuned for more blog posts!
